The central-Balkan national park
Located in the highest and most beautiful part of the average Balkans, to northeast from Sofia, this national park, first of all, is well-known for the highest in Bulgaria a falls - Praskalo which height makes 125 meters. The way to a falls lays through the most beautiful Trojan pass where there is a Trojan monastery which should be looked.
These one their best places the virgin, not touched civilization of the nature: the huge part of park till now is not investigated. In park is available nine natural reserves, four of them are biospheric reserves. Here lives over 150 kinds of animals being under protection and 50 kinds of plants being under protection, many of which grow only in this mountain district. To observe rising and a sunset on this mountain - local residents have named it “Land of the sons sun” - a special show.
National park “Sinite kamyni”
This park is located between Sofia and Burgas. Though it is one of the smallest national parks of Bulgaria, it differs improbable mountain formations and landscapes, hundreds the most interesting kinds of plants here too grow. Besides three kinds of the European birds to which extinction threatens here live. They are an imperial eagle, long-legged buzzard and a falcon peregrin.
